Thanksgiving:  As a Pagan, do you object to this holiday because of the treatment of Native Americans by Europeans?  To many, rather than the version of happy pilgrims sitting around with their Native friends eating corn on the cob, it represents oppression, greed, and cultural annihilation. For some people of Native American Ancestry, it’s considered a day of mourning.
Like Christmas and Easter, etc., Thanksgiving puts Pagans in the unenviable position of celebrating holidays for which they have varying degrees of disdain.  As is the norm in some families, of which you may be lucky enough not to be the only Pagan, you can choose this time as a celebration of family and friends; renewal, rebirth, idea-sharing, laughter and excellent food.  All this with the possible added convenience of days off from work.  You might add your own touches of candles and generosity that do not offend your revered elders, nor their Christian ethics.  It may not be necessary to make Grandparents uncomfortable in order to follow the Pagan path.   Happy Thanksgiving!
